I have always had a passion for hair. In high school, I was doing my friends hair for dances and different events. I even tried a foil on a friend's hair for graduation, with kitchen foils and a basting brush! Right out of high school I went to Gene Juarez Academy of Beauty and received my Cosmetology license. I furthered my education at The Gene Juarez Advanced training in Seattle, where I specialized in Color. I have been doing hair professionally for a little over 10 yrs. now and have loved every minute of it. I stay current with trends and new technical ways of doing hair by always attending continuing education classes, which we offer at the salon, or travel to other locations. I believe it helps us stay fresh and renewed as hair artists. My sister Erica and I opened Salon Rivera’s doors on August 1st 2010. It had always been a dream of mine, ever since my sister started doing hair, that one day we would own a salon together. It has been a very challenging yet rewarding adventure for us. We have such an amazing group of girls working with us that going to work really doesn't seem like work. I am so blessed that my job is chatting with friends and making women feel good about themselves all day. When I am not working in the salon you will probably find me at home with my husband Lance and my two cute kiddos, Landin and Khloe. I try to help in their school as much as possible. Working in the salon part time is a nice balance, so I don't have to miss out on their daily lives and school functions. I love being a mom and I love being a hair stylist/Salon owner, but enough about me... I hope to meet you soon!
